When I heard about this storm and the surviving trees I was reminded of our LPD family. We all know in a law enforcement family there are storms that come through—good and bad. There have been babies born, a shooting involving our officers, family members lost, a really scary car accident, Thank a Police Officer Day… And through those times the LPD family was able to support each other, come together and hold each other up—because our roots are intertwined. It is so much easier to stay standing in hard times when others are there to hold you up as the wind blows. We all need support at some time whether we like to admit it or even accept it. Let’s intertwine our roots as much as we can and support our officers and families so when the craziness hits or the happy-great times come, we are ready!
